The Muckleshoot Casino is located right in Auburn and offers Vegas or Reno style games for local residents. The White River Valley Museum is located in Les Gove Park and tells the story of South King County. Operated as a partnership with the city of Auburn, rotating and permanent exhibits focus on local Puget Sound history, Northwest Indian culture, Japanese-Americans and Native American communities. Exhibits include photographs, artifacts, and hands on displays. Visitors can explore a pioneer cabin, a one room schoolhouse or climb aboard a 1920s caboose. The museum is equipped with a small research library with books, diaries, logs, journals and other works pertaining to the White River Valley and surrounding regions. The museum also has a photograph collection with thousands of historical images and bound newspapers from 1894 to 1982.
